My pathway is Woodproducts. This Class takes three years to finish but you can do all four if you love the class. Something I like about this class is that it is hands on class. This class if great because it helps you develop new skills other than math, english and other subjects. For me wood shop became a part on my high school years, it's a good way to be individual and to learn new things. One of the teachers that got me interested in this class was Mr. Rodriguez. For my job shadow I interviewed police officer Loften. He is a police officer in the downtown Lindsay Police Department. I job shadowed a police officer because it's my dream job. I got interested in the Administration of Justice ever since I saw the show cops. Throughout the ride along there was not much to do since it was during the day. Most people were working so the street were pretty empty. We drove around Lindsay for about 3 hours or more. During the ride along we only recieved one call. The call was because the lady at the Lindsay Library set the alarm off. We just went to make sure everything was okay. Other than that we drove around Lindsay and Loften showed me the parts of Lindsay that were country and the parts that are city. During my ride along as we drove around, I realized that I did not want to be patrolling a small city. I have decided I rather be in a prison taking care of inmates or being a teacher for inmates. There were two things I disliked. The first one was all the reports they have to do once they recieved a call. The second was that they don't see there families as much as they wish they would. They only see them on the weekends. I'm still interested in this job because I like to help people in the community. I hope to one day be a teacher or police officer. My mind will still be set to being part of the Administration of justice. |
